We created a vibrant, family-focused website for YoCoast, a brand-new beachside entertainment venue in Polzeath, Cornwall, bringing together soft play, arcade games, food and frozen yoghurt in one family-friendly destination.
The Client
YoCoast is a brand-new family entertainment venue situated right on Polzeath Beach in Cornwall.
Founded by Lia and Sean, who had lived in Polzeath for nine years, YoCoast was created from a simple observation: families and beachgoers needed somewhere to go when they wanted a break from the beach, particularly on rainy days or when the Cornish weather wasn’t quite playing ball.
The result is a unique indoor destination combining a multi-level soft play, arcade, café and frozen yoghurt experience, giving children somewhere to play while parents and adults can relax, eat, drink and enjoy time together.
With Polzeath’s only soft play, a dedicated arcade and a beachside café, YoCoast has been designed as a place for both locals and holidaymakers to enjoy throughout the year.
Why britweb?
YoCoast needed a website that captured the energy and personality of the new business while clearly communicating everything the venue has to offer. britweb’s experience of building websites gave the YoCoast team confidence that we understood what a launch website needs to do. It has to introduce the concept, build excitement and make it easy for families to understand what they could expect.

The Challenge
Creating something new in a well-established beach destination came with its own set of challenges.
YoCoast needed to introduce the concept to Polzeath while making it immediately clear why an indoor family venue was needed alongside everything the beach already offers.
The business had also undergone a significant change in direction. What began as plans for a fish-and-chip shop evolved into something very different following an 18-month process involving planning applications, reports and architectural work. The opportunity was there to create something that would provide families with an alternative to the beach, particularly when the weather changed.
Rather than focusing on just one attraction, the website needed to bring together soft play, arcade games, food, drinks and frozen yoghurt, showing how each element contributes to the overall Yo Coast experience.
For parents, practical information and easy booking were important. For children, the focus was on fun and excitement. For holidaymakers, the website needed to establish Yo Coast as another option for their day, whether the sun was shining or the Cornish weather had other plans.
The key challenge was to turn a new and relatively unfamiliar concept into something that felt instantly understandable and appealing, while creating a strong online presence that could grow alongside the business.
The primary objectives were to:
- Introduce YoCoast to both local families and visitors to Polzeath
- Explain the different experiences available in a clear and engaging way
- Show the relationship between the beach and YoCoast’s indoor offering
