Google has a habit of rolling out new services on the quiet. Here at BritWeb, we pride ourselves on being very up-to-date with all that is going on in the digital world – especially when it comes to Google updates and services. This exciting new offering from the ‘big G’ became known to us via one of our clients, The Holbrook Club, who introduced us to Google Trusted Photographer – Hamish McDonald. We met with Hamish, watched him at work in The Holbrook and forged an ongoing partnership. This is so we can offer our clients the chance to have a walk around tour of their facilities for online users.
This tour ties in directly with your Google + Local page (formerly known as Google Places) and will showcase your business’s physical address and bring it to life. It’s a fantastic service for restaurants, pubs, retails outlets, gyms and more. Let potential customers explore your venue and get a feel for it before visiting. The tour can be embedded on your website and social media pages and will show up on search results. It’s very possible that having a tour, coupled with a flawless Google Local listing (ask us for more details!) will give your listing a better chance of appearing higher than one of your competitors on Google.
We knew our long-standing client, Bluecoats Sports Health & Fitness Club, would really benefit from the service as it allows potential members to see just how good their facilities are from the comfort of their office or home. We think the results are fantastic.
Click here to have a wander around the sports centre. If you think your business could benefit from the addition of this great new Google service, call us on 01403 261491 and we’ll arrange a date and time to visit. You also get a set of still images to keep and use from the shoot.
Nigel McMahon, Manager at Bluecoats
“The opportunity for people to look around our facility remotely is a fantastic way of generating more exposure for local businesses. The 360 tour gives people a more personal view, brings images to life and gives you the confidence to visit the club or even book sessions and activities online without the need to visit.
We are really pleased with the finished product but hope to be able to add elements as the fabric of the building and our offers change.”
